About You
You are a grounded and compassionate emerging clinician who is eager to grow and deepen your practice. You’re drawn to holistic, client-centered work and committed to ethical care. You enjoy working in a creative, wellness-minded community and thrive in the ebb and flow of private practice life.

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide individual (and optionally, group) therapy to clients across the lifespan with sensitivity to trauma, neurodiversity, and cultural diversity.

• Conduct thorough biopsychosocial assessments and develop individualized treatment plans that reflect a strengths-based, whole-person approach.

• Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation using Therapy Notes in alignment with HIPAA and ethical guidelines.

• Collaborate with our integrative referral sources (art therapists, yoga teachers, bodyworkers, etc.) when appropriate.

• Participate in supervision and seek ongoing professional development aligned with your interests and our values.

• Uphold confidentiality and strong professional boundaries, especially in the context of our close-knit Northern Michigan community.

• Support the mission of Hawthorn Hive by contributing to a culture of integrity, compassion, creativity, and care.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Counseling from an accredited program.

• Current LLPC license in the state of Michigan.

• Clinical experience with individuals, children, or families preferred.

• Theoretical orientation aligned with humanistic, somatic, mindfulness-based, or trauma-informed frameworks is a plus.

• Commitment to self-awareness, reflective practice, and ongoing learning.

• Comfort and integrity in navigating social media and confidentiality in a rural/small-town setting.

• Must be organized, responsible, and open to growing a private practice caseload over time.
